Alun Evans, Chair
Trustee since 2015

Alun Evans was, for over 30 years, a civil servant in a range of government  departments.  He worked for a number of senior Cabinet ministers, including Tony Blair.  He was for four years Chief Executive of the British Academy.   He then wrote his PhD on the history of the ministerial private office.   He is now a a political consultant and a writer.

Martin Young
Trustee since 2011

Martin Young is a barrister in private practice. A law graduate from Queen Mary College and resident in East London since 1977, he served as a Councillor for LB Tower Hamlets from 1994. Martin also serves on the boards of several local charities apart from the Attlee Foundation and is a past Deputy Chair of the Isle of Dogs Community Foundation.

John Stephenson
Trustee since 2019

John is a Chartered Engineer and former Production Director, having worked in factories in the Aerospace, rail, and defence industries.  A member and past President of the Bath Chamber of Commerce, John is a keen advocate for manufacturing and the opportunities it brings.

Jo Roundell-Greene
Trustee since 2017

Jo is one of Clement Attlee’s granddaughters. She has always had a special interest in education and young people and has been a trustee of the Foundation for several years.

Nicola Clark
Clerk since 2019

Nicola is the Clerk to the board and supports them with the administrative tasks. Nicola is a volunteer in her local community and is passionate about advocating for people who are struggling.

Mohon Miah
Trustee since 2023

Mohon is the Senior Curriculum Manager for A-Level Humanities and Social Science at Attlee Academy.

Belinda Johnston
Trustee since 2023

Belinda is one of Clement Attlee’s granddaughters. She graduated from the University of London in 1979 and had a career in medical research and health care management in the NHS. Belinda has been a Trustee of three medical charities and is also the honorary treasurer for the honorary stewards of Westminster Abbey and the European Cancer Prevention Organisation. I am now happily retired.
